Welcome to F1! Every class has an inspiration person they will be learning about this year. We have chosen Beatrix Potter.

Our Learning Challenge this half term is :" Is there a Gruffalo in the woods?" Our first day back after the summer holiday was full of surprises. Someone was in our classroom and left mysterious footprints inside and outside the classroom! We had a discussion about the footprints and decided that they belonged to the Gruffalo. So maybe there is such thing as a Gruffalosurprise

As part of our Learning Challenge this half term:" Can you tell me a story?" Nursery took part in a food tasting activity. We have finished looking at the story of the little red hen and the children and their grown- up had the opportunity to try a variety of different bread. After they had finished tasting, the children recorded their likes and dislikes on an activity sheet.

On 17th November 2017 we celebrated Children in Need Day. The children came to Nursery in spotty clothes and Pudsey outfits for a chocolate donation. They enjoyed designing a new bandana for Pudsey bear.

This half term in Beatrix Potter's Class our learning challenge is :" How can I become a superhero?" Our new topic is so much fun! The children have already designed their own superhero cape, walked over the fire and now are ready for the new adventure. We will also learn about real life superheroes in the form of doctors, nurses, firefighters. This will help us to think about being kind and helpful.
We celebrated Aspiration Week by coming into nursery dressed as doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, vets and teachers. We talked about different occupations and had a think about our future jobs. We have had a special visitors in nursery that week. Luna's grandad came in to talk to us about his job. He let us all have a go at chest compressions and putting bandages on.

On 15th February we celebrated Chinsese New Year the Year of the Dog! All the children enjoyed lots of different activities to better understand the Chinese culture.

The children all made their own little pizza to eat for the pizza party. Well done everyone for filling the marble jar!

Hello I am a class pet! I like to share day adventures with sensible and carrying children. If you are taking me home to share your day you must have been really kind, helpful, or worked very hard. You can write about my adventures and draw a picture or maybe put in a photograph in my happy book. Please bring me and my happy book next day so we can share what we've done with the other children. Thank you Gerald & Molly X
